Our approach

James Serafino has had a distinguished 20-plus-year project and facilities manager career. A New York Institute of Technology graduate with a BA in Architecture. In 2008, James founded Copper Hill Development. James' business acumen and commitment have a respected presence in the industry. James has cultivated a solid client base that continues to call on the services of Copper Hill. He has earned the respect of many industry leaders due to his involvement and belief in providing transparency and collaboration.  His notable clients include Evercore Partners, Sub Zero, Sid Jacobson Jewish Community Center, Helen Keller, and Outfront Media .

James is a car enthusiast who enjoys cars or anything about the automotive world. He enjoys learning about cars, driving cars, discussing them, and generally being involved in the automotive community.

Professional  & Charitable Affiliations:

Eric has more than 17 years of experience and specializes in complex, multi-faceted projects with a wide range of proprietary challenges—a graduate of Arizona State University with a BA in Business & English studies. Before joining Copper Hill in 2021, Eric worked for CBRE, managing the Google NYC portfolio.  Eric led a successful project management team responsible for designing and constructing over 1.5 million square feet in NYC. Most notably, Eric spearheaded the team that delivered Pier 57 in Hudson River Park and YouTube Studios in Chelsea Market.

His other notable clients include Point 72, Kimmeridge Energy, Munich RE, Bank of America, Facebook, and Goldman Sachs. Eric is LEED AP certified.

Fishing, golfing, and triathlon training are a few of my favorite recreational activities.

Jen has 15+ years of experience working on diverse design and construction projects. She is closely involved in every aspect of each project; she is responsible for the planning and execution of complex projects to meet client expectations, including pre-lease due diligence, lease review, consultant and contractor procurement, contract negotiations, schedule management, budget development, financial tracking, coordination of construction activities, DOB permitting, move management and close-out. She is passionate about going the extra mile and being a true partner to her clients.

Prior to joining Copper Hill, she was a Vice President at JLL’s Project and Development Services. Prior to JLL, she was a senior structural engineer at Thornton Tomasetti responsible for the structural analysis of the Hudson Yards platform.

Some of her noteworthy clients include IAC, The Interpublic Group (IPG), Mount Sinai Health System, and CVC Capital.

In my free time, I enjoy exploring museums, visiting different countries and exploring their cultures.

Michael has 27 years of experience working on diverse projects, including retail, corporate, cultural, facilities, and manufacturing projects throughout the U.S. and in Europe and the Far East. He is responsible for the planning and execution of complex projects to meet client expectations, including pre-lease due diligence, lease review, consultant and contractor procurement, contract negotiations, schedule management, budget development, financial tracking, coordination of construction activities, DOB permitting, move management, and close-out. Having worked on the retail client side, he keenly understands the client’s priorities and works hard to exceed expectations.

Michael has held distinguished positions, including VP at JLL, where he led PDS-NY Retail as the Team Lead. Tiffany & Co. and Construction SPM for Ann Taylor. He held architectural positions that bring a dynamic experience to the Interior Project manager arena, some notable ones TSC Design as a SPM and TPG Architecture as a Studio Director.

Outside of my professional life I am very passionate and love to read all kinds of genres, especially Science Fiction/Fantasy, Crime/Mystery, Horror, Action, and Military History. My favorite authors include Orson Scott Card, Terry Brooks, Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Stephen Hunter, Clive Cussler, and John Irving.
